A company-built cabin typical of those found in mining, logging and construction camps throughout the USA and Canada.

Footprint is about 13’x24’ in O scale. (model is 6" long x 3 1/8" wide)

Main building is 3 1/8" wide and 4 3/8" long, and the porch extends another 1 5/8"

Height is 3 1/4" to the top of the roof apex, Wall height is 2"

Features include:-

Laser-cut micro-ply and cardstock.
Basswood and stripwood porch with laser-cut assembly jig.
Internal laser-cut framework with removable roof – allows detailed interior to be modelled.
Tab and slot construction for easy assembly
laser-cut shingles. These can be painted and weathered to suit

So great I had to build a 2'x4' module and mountain just so I could show it.

I built this to be an excuse to build a mountain, which was my excuse for building a 2'x4' group module. I was encouraged to enter the Cabin in a competition, but couldn't because it is permanently attached to that mountain.
On the porch sit two checkers players, watched by two fellow miners and an old hound dog. A soft light flickers through the windows.

Just completed this kit and enjoyed building it. Looks great on the layout, is fun to build, and not very hard. This is the 5th kit I've built from Kitwood Hills and they are fun to put together. Now I'm building a 7 stall roundhouse which is a challenge but is coming out really well.

Very nice cottage, very precise laser cut, just beautiful.

The laser-cut shingles are are very real after processing.

Perfect on my layout. With the interior kit and a bit of lighting looks fantastic
