Box for Cobalt S lever - 6/9/12 sizes

  • Base of this box has been cut away with a slot for 25way D type connector and a power jack - but the kit's base is plain.

Product Description

The S levers are not included.This kit is ONLY the box.

Please do also look at KS Laser Design who now offer several sizes of S lever box in MDF  They offer an optional acrylic top cover as well.

Laser cut from 4mm birch ply

The box is for mounting up to 6, 9, 12 and 18 S levers (with spacers) and enough internal space to contain the wiring harnesses and mount both types of cobalt control PCBs inside.

I have a design for 24 levers as well but its a monster so special shipping applies.

Box makes up as a glued frame, with top and bottom panels screwed into place so that all parts can be accessed/removed after assembly. screws for the box are included (but not screws for levers)

The top of the box has a wide enough opening for the lever frame with the metal cosmetic rings already glued into place. (so it can be removed afterwards)

The bottom cover of the box is solid.

The back of the box is open for additional cables and power etc

    Having acquired a 12 Set of S levers from an Auction (new an unused) I have , after 9 years, got the stuff to sort my 'Signal Box'.
    I spotted this on E Bay. It's brilliant. Came within a couple of days, with xlnt comms from the seller. Built most of it within an hour and Levers are temporarily attached as advised. *One end is not attached and the Lever 'floor' is altered slightly so I can slide it into place with one end fixed and *one loose. I won't glue that in place.
    As the top and bottom screw in place, I can dismantle to paint and varnish the case and Lever Frame etc., as I desire and I may well prepare and screw the loose end on myself, instead of gluing it, so future dismantling for any problems ,can be achieved easily.
    100% recommended.
